The way you speak is influenced by were you are and who you are with. The way you speak is also based on how you would like to be viewed and fear of criticism. For example if you are with your friends you are going to talk in a easy non-formal way. Were as if you are conversing with the queen of England you might be inclined to use a larger more diverse vocabulary, due to the belief that the queen is a superior figure,and one to be treated with respect.
